Pro Series Vinyl Coated Straight Grab Bar

This is a straight grab bar built on a steel core and finished in a soft, antimicrobial vinyl coating instead of bare metal. It mounts to wood studs and gives you a solid, secure handhold by the tub, shower, or toilet without the cold, clinical look of a stainless bar.

The vinyl coating is 3mm thick over a 2mm galvanized, zinc-plated steel core, so it's warm to the touch and has a little give to it instead of going hard and slick the moment it's wet. The antimicrobial protection is built into the coating itself and keeps working for as long as the bar is on the wall, not just for the first few months. Lengths from 12" to 36" hold 500 pounds; the 42" holds 330. The flange covering the mounting screws is fiberglass-reinforced polyamide, built to hide the hardware cleanly instead of leaving screw heads exposed at eye level.

Installation & detailed specifications

Mounting hardware is included for installation into wood studs. If you're installing into tile, drywall, or another wall assembly, use anchors rated for that wall and confirm there's solid blocking behind both flange locations before drilling. The 4-hole flange plate conceals all mounting screws once installed, and the bar is reversible end-to-end. This product was previously sold under the name "Contractor Series" by the manufacturer, Ponte Giulio — same bar, updated name.
