I'm a geriatric nurse practitioner and primary care provider in Boston. For the past 10 years, I've worked in a senior care department focused on keeping older adults safely at home and out of the hospital. That experience taught me a lot about what it means to age well — with dignity, and on your own terms.

Having the right home safety equipment is critical for staying independent at home. But I've seen time and again how difficult it is for patients and families to know what they need, or when. There's a steep learning curve in the world of durable medical equipment. So many options, so much to navigate — often in the middle of a stressful moment.

The ordering process makes it harder. Getting equipment through insurance can take weeks or even months. I understand why the system exists, and coverage can be genuinely valuable. But I believe families deserve another option.

My goal with Steady Living Co. is to provide practical guidance, trusted product recommendations, and faster access to home safety equipment for people who can't — or don't want to — wait. Most of all, I hope this shop helps families feel less overwhelmed and more confident helping someone they love stay safe at home.
